SPACE MINER! (EGA only!) September 29, 1990
============
Copyright (C) 1990 Sights UnScene. All rights reserved.
Here is your basic arcade style game consisting of three levels.
No one has finished level 3!
This game supports AdLib. To use it, run the SOUND.COM driver (supplied
with your AdLib board) before playing.
To adjust the play speed to your liking, use the plus and minus keys.
When you exit the game, it will save this "configuration" so you won't have to
adjust it again.
To stop your spaceship from moving, press INSERT (although it's not really
necessary).
This game was a fun project... and it turned out to actually be a fun game to
play. Although I write this document in September 1990 and the game was written
in December 1989, I still find myself playing it when I have a few minutes!
BASIC RULES & HINTS
===================
Pick up as many "rocks" until you reach your quota (gets you to next level).
Kill drone ships for 100 points each.
Don't kill a "police" ship that isn't after you unless you're very good -
another cop will hunt you down!
If a cop spots you taking rocks, he will hunt you down!
Blow up a Vacuum Mulcher's bag of rocks by shooting through it's jaws - but don't
get too close (or you'll get sucked in) and beware of the cop that will hunt you
down if you succeed!
You cannot actually destroy a Mulcher.
Killing any cop that is after you will score 500 points and will not cause
another cop to chase you.
Killing a cop that is not after you will only score 100 points.
HINT: an easy 500 points can be scored by picking up a rock when a cop is at
the top of the screen. He will start to hunt you and as long as you're below
him, you'll blow him away easily!
This game was programmed by Ian Currie.
